Story behind Drupal Nerd

Drupal Nerd was founded out of a desire to train and educate both technical and non-technical teams on the strengths and benefits of working with Drupal. We noticed that many companies and organizations would greatly benefit from training and educating their teams on Drupal.

In particular, we noticed that Marketers, Content Managers, Business Managers, Product Managers and Executives would benefit greatly from learning Drupal. These team members, in particular non-technical team members learning and adopting Drupal is a force multiplier for organizations.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to teach Drupal and increase Drupal adoption. Our goal is to make non-technical and technical teams more fluent, confident and comfortable working within the Drupal ecosystem.

Why Drupal Staff Training is Critical for Your Organization

Investing in Drupal staff training is one of the most effective ways to ensure your website runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently. When employees understand how to use Drupal, they can confidently manage content, update pages, maintain workflows, and optimize digital assets without relying heavily on developers.

Key Benefits of Training Staff on Drupal

  • Increase Productivity – Trained staff can quickly create, edit, and publish content, reducing bottlenecks in website management.
  • Enhance Security – Employees who know best practices can prevent common errors that lead to vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain Consistency – Ensure uniform branding, formatting, and content standards across all pages.
  • Improve User Experience – Timely updates and well-managed content result in a smoother, more reliable experience for your website visitors.
  • Reduce Operational Costs – Minimizing dependence on external developers saves time and resources.

By equipping your team with Drupal skills, your organization can strengthen digital operations, maintain website integrity, and achieve long-term success online. Staff training is not just an operational step—it’s a strategic investment in the performance and security of your website.

About Drupal

Companies and team members have many entry points from which to learn and engage with Drupal.

First, Drupal encompasses the main open-source software, currently on Drupal 11. The community is now calling this Drupal Core. To download the latest version of Drupal Core, visit this link. Working with Drupal 11 is for advanced technical teams who would like to build custom websites and web applications with unique feature sets and specific functionality. It's worth pointing out that although Drupal is now on 11, many thousands of public websites are still utilizing Drupal 10, 9, 8 and 7 software.

Second, Drupal recently released Drupal CMS, which as the Drupal community puts it, "puts the power of Drupal into the hands of marketers, designers and content creators."

Drupal Space & Ecosystem

The broader Drupal space encompasses the open-source community of developers contributing back to Drupal software, Drupal agency service providers, Drupal hosting companies, Drupal developers, Drupal front-end developers and Drupal site builders.
